About Me

Emily baking with her grandmother and kids in the kitchen

Hi, I’m Emily.

My grandma, Eleanor, didn’t just teach me how to bake. She taught me how to love through food. Her kitchen was where I learned that sweetness doesn’t only come from sugar, but from the moments we share with the people we love.

Now, I bake with my own children Lily and Max and watching them crack eggs and fight over who gets the mixing spoon brings me right back to that little girl I once was. Our kitchen is messy and noisy and full of life. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

When the world turned upside down in 2020, like so many others, I found myself searching for something to hold onto. The long days of lockdown brought me back to baking. What started as a way to comfort my family became something much bigger.

I began sharing my recipes online not just the instructions, but the memories behind them. People started messaging me, telling me how baking a cake helped them reconnect with their kids, or how my grandma’s peach cobbler reminded them of their own childhood. And in that moment, I knew I had found something real.

When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m usually in the garden or on the porch, with our golden retriever, Buddy, beside me.

He’s been with us through it all through the chaos of toddler years and the stillness of quarantine mornings. Buddy has a way of grounding me, of reminding me that it’s okay to slow down and simply be. Whether I’m journaling new ideas or just enjoying the quiet, he’s always close.

Evenings are my time to recharge. Once the dishes are done and the kids are tucked in, I grab a blanket, a warm cup of coffee, and a book. That little corner by the window is where I come back to myself.

Reading takes me places when I can’t travel, and somehow, the characters I meet often sneak into my desserts a lemon tart inspired by a Paris love story, or ginger cookies that smell like winter in a novel.

👩‍🍳 Meet Lily

A few months after I started Idealy Recipes, my sister Lily joined me in the kitchen.
While I’m the instinctive baker who follows my heart (and a little chaos), Sophie is the one who brings precision and creativity. She studied culinary arts and has always loved exploring the science of baking.

Together, we test every recipe, share ideas, and fill our kitchen with laughter (and a lot of flour). Our goal is to combine family warmth with professional passion, creating desserts that are both comforting and inspiring.

Now, every post on Idealy Recipes carries a little bit of both of us, the home baker and the trained chef, two sisters sharing one dream: to make your kitchen a sweeter, happier place.

💛 Why Idealy Recipes?

I started Idealy Recipes because I believe in the magic of simple things.
A warm cookie. A shared laugh. A handwritten recipe passed from one generation to the next.

Here, you’ll find recipes that come from my home, my childhood, and my heart. I hope they bring you the same comfort and joy they bring to my family and maybe, a little sweetness when you need it most.

Thank you for being here.
You’re not just visiting a blog you’re stepping into my kitchen, and I’m so glad you came.

👩‍🍳 Meet Our Kitchen Crew

As Idealy Recipes started to grow, I realized something beautifully simple:
good food brings people together. What began as a small corner of my home kitchen slowly turned into a place where stories, flavors, and different cooking styles could come together.

That’s when our little kitchen team began to take shape—not a staff, not a business department, but a group of people who share the same love for honest, comforting food. Each one brings their personality, their style, and their favorite flavors to our table.

Together, we create, test, taste (sometimes too many cookies), and share recipes that we hope will brighten your home just as much as they brighten ours.

🌿 Mia Carter:

Mia brings a touch of balance to our sweet tooth. She’s passionate about making desserts that taste indulgent but feel good to eat, using natural ingredients and smart swaps. She’s the one who shows us that sweetness can be simple, wholesome, and still absolutely delicious. Thanks to Mia, our recipe collection has a little more fruit, fiber, and thoughtful choices—without losing the fun.

📌 Her recipes are perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy dessert every day, guilt-free.

Lucas Bennett

🍫 Lucas Bennett :

Lucas takes cookies very seriously—in the best way possible. He’s the one testing cookies five times just to get the texture perfectly crisp on the edge and soft in the center. If a recipe has chocolate, he automatically takes the lead. Lucas believes every dessert can be improved with a richer cocoa, a better quality butter, or a small tweak in baking temperature. His precision makes our chocolate recipes incredibly reliable.

📌 If you love brownies, this is your guy.

🍰 Olivia Brooks :

Olivia is the kitchen realist. She loves dessert but doesn’t always love waiting for the oven. She specializes in 5-ingredient treats, no-bake cheesecakes, and dessert dips you can prepare faster than your coffee brews. Whenever life gets busy, Olivia is the one who proves that you don’t need complicated tools or long instructions to make something wonderful.

📌 She’s the reason we started adding quick recipes that fit into everyday life.

🤍 What Brings Us Together

We don’t all bake the same way. We don’t have the same backgrounds. But we share one belief:

Food is more than a recipe—it’s comfort, connection, and a piece of yourself you choose to share with others.

From our home kitchen to yours, we hope our recipes inspire small traditions, warm memories, and moments of sweetness in the middle of everyday life.

Because at the heart of it all, this blog is built on what truly matters:

💛 Simple ingredients, shared stories, and the joy of bringing people together.
