- 1 medium onion, diced into small, even cubes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup flour
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 2–3 minutes until fragrant and onions become translucent.
- Stir in sliced mushrooms, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme. Season with salt and pepper, and allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the frozen vegetables with flour until coated. Add this mixture to the skillet, stirring well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
