Description
Roasted brown sugar honey carrots with caramelized edges and a rich glossy glaze.
Ingredients
1 kg carrots peeled
1 quarter cup brown sugar loosely packed
2 garlic cloves minced
2 tablespoons butter melted
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 half teaspoon salt
1 quarter teaspoon black pepper
Parsley optional
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425F.
2. Cut carrots into even pieces.
3. Toss carrots with brown sugar, butter, garlic, oil, salt, and pepper.
4. Roast 15 minutes.
5. Toss and roast 10 more minutes.
6. Serve warm with parsley.
Notes
You may reduce sugar to one tablespoon.
Honey or maple syrup may be substituted.
