Ingredients
1 tbsp unflavored gelatin (grass-fed preferred)
1 cup brewed herbal tea or fruit juice (sugar-free or low-sugar)
½ cup cold water
1 scoop protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
Optional: 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Optional: Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
Optional: 1–2 tsp natural sweetener (stevia, monk fruit, or honey)
Optional: Lemon or lime juice
Optional: Berries or sliced fruit (add after partial set)
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, pour ½ cup cold water and sprinkle unflavored gelatin over it. Let sit 5 minutes to bloom.
2. Warm tea or juice in a saucepan until hot (not boiling).
3. Pour hot liquid into the bloomed gelatin and stir until fully dissolved.
4. Whisk in protein powder until smooth. Add optional ingredients like vinegar, salt, citrus, or sweetener to taste.
5. Pour mixture into a dish, jar, or silicone mold. Let cool 10 minutes, then refrigerate 2–4 hours until set.
6. If adding fruit, wait 30–45 minutes, then gently stir in once jello has partially set.
7. Serve chilled — great as a post-workout snack, low-sugar dessert, or gut-friendly treat.
Notes
Use collagen peptides for a smoother finish, or clear whey for bariatric-friendly versions.
Adjust gelatin for firmer or softer texture.
Store in jars or molds for 5 days refrigerated — not freezer-friendly.
