Description
Soft, chewy Christmas gooey butter cookies made with cream cheese, cake mix, and festive sprinkles.
Ingredients
8 ounces full-fat cream cheese softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup holiday sprinkles
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 F and line baking sheets.
2. Beat cream cheese, butter, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Stir in cake mix until dough forms.
4. Fold in sprinkles gently.
5. Chill dough 30 minutes.
6. Roll dough into balls and coat in powdered sugar.
7. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges set and centers soft.
8. Cool on baking sheet then transfer to rack.
Notes
Store cookies up to 3 days in an airtight container.
Freeze dough balls up to 3 months.
