Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (2 sheets) puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy. Optionally, mix in a few drops of green food coloring.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each sheet of puff pastry and cut into a tree shape.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture down the center of the pastry shape.
  5. Fold the branches over the filling, alternating sides to create a decorative look.
  6. Brush the top and edges with the beaten egg mixed with water.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar and decorate as desired.
