Description
Chewy, cinnamon-spiced apple snickerdoodle bars that bake in under 40 minutes.
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 medium apple, peeled and diced
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 pan.
2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
3. Add egg and vanilla, mix well.
4. Whisk dry ingredients and combine.
5. Fold in diced apples.
6. Spread batter evenly in pan.
7. Top with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
8. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden.
9. Cool fully before slicing.
Notes
Use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples for best texture. Store in airtight container for 3 days or refrigerate up to a week.
