Description
A soothing ginger trick drink made with fresh ginger, lemon, and optional honey—ideal for easing digestion, minimizing bloating, and gently kickstarting your morning.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon fresh ginger root (grated or thinly sliced)
1 cup warm water (not boiling)
½ lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
1. Peel the ginger using the edge of a spoon.
2. Grate or thinly slice the ginger.
3. Add ginger to a mug and pour warm water over it.
4. Let steep for 5 minutes.
5. Add lemon juice, honey, and cayenne (if using).
6. Stir well and sip slowly.
Notes
For a stronger drink, steep longer or use more ginger. Ginger can be prepped and frozen in portions to save time. Adjust lemon and cayenne to taste. Best enjoyed warm and on an empty stomach in the morning. Check with your doctor if pregnant or on blood thinners.
