Description

These Guacamole Christmas Deviled Eggs are made with creamy avocado, zesty lime, jalapeño, cilantro, and festive red-and-green toppings. A modern holiday twist on a classic!

Ingredients

Scale

6 hard-boiled eggs, cooled

1 large avocado, mashed

1 Tbsp red onion (or green onion), chopped

1 Tbsp jalapeno, deseeded & finely chopped

2 Tbsp tomatoes, chopped

2 Tbsp cilantro, chopped

3 tsp lime juice (plus more if needed)

1/2 tsp garlic salt

Black pepper, to taste

Chili powder for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Peel your hard-boiled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.

2. Remove yolks and place in a bowl. Mash well with a fork.

3. Add mashed avocado, onion, jalapeno, tomatoes, cilantro, lime juice, garlic salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.

4. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.

5. Pipe or spoon filling into egg whites.

6. Garnish with chili powder, cilantro, or tomatoes.

7. Chill for 10-15 minutes or serve immediately.

Notes

Use eggs that are at least 3 days old for easier peeling.

Always store unpeeled hard-boiled eggs in the fridge up to 1 week.

Add garnishes just before serving for best presentation.
