Ingredients
1-inch piece of fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
1 cup warm or room-temperature water
Juice of ½ lemon (optional)
1 tsp honey (optional)
Dash of cayenne pepper or turmeric (optional)
Instructions
1. Add sliced ginger to a cup of warm water.
2. Let it steep for 10–15 minutes.
3. Stir in lemon juice, honey, or spices if desired.
4. Drink slowly on an empty stomach in the morning.
5. For the overnight version: prep the same ingredients in a jar and let steep in the fridge overnight. Drink it cold or slightly warmed in the morning.
