Description
A swirl of red and white peppermint dough shaped into festive candy canes.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
Red gel coloring
Instructions
1. Beat butter and sugar.
2. Add egg, vanilla, peppermint.
3. Whisk flour and salt, add to wet mix.
4. Divide and color dough.
5. Chill 1 hour.
6. Roll ropes and twist.
7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Notes
Chill dough often.
Use gel coloring.
Freeze dough up to 3 months.
