Description
Classic cinnamon rolls with cream cheese glaze, baked to golden perfection for National Cinnamon Roll Day.
Ingredients
1 cup warm milk (110°F)
2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
⅓ cup sugar
2 eggs, room temp
½ cup butter, melted
4–4½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
Filling: ¾ cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp cinnamon, ¼ cup butter softened
Glaze: 4 oz cream cheese, ¼ cup butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, ½ tsp vanilla, 1–2 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. Combine milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until foamy.
2. Add eggs and butter, mix, then gradually add flour and salt.
3. Knead 8 minutes; let rise until doubled (1–1.5 hrs).
4. Roll dough to 16×12, spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar.
5. Roll tightly, cut into 12 pieces.
6. Place in greased 9×13 pan; rise 30–45 mins.
7. Bake at 350°F for 22–28 mins.
8. Whisk glaze; spread on warm rolls.
Notes
Let dough rise fully for fluffy texture.
Refrigerate overnight before second rise for make-ahead.
Glaze can be made ahead and chilled.
