Description
A super-soft vanilla cake loaded with colorful sprinkles, frosted in dreamy pink and white buttercream — and topped with even more sprinkles. It’s birthday perfection in every bite!
Ingredients
1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3 egg whites
3 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup whole milk
1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles

1 cup butter
5 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 drop soft pink food gel coloring
1/4 cup sprinkles
Instructions
1. Butter and flour three six inch pans. Preheat oven to 340F.
2. Sift the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
3. Beat the wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
4. Mix wet and dry together, fold in sprinkles.
5. Divide into pans and bake for 25–30 minutes.
6. Beat butter, sugar, cream, and color to make frosting.
7. Add sprinkles to each batch of buttercream.
8. Pipe buttercream between cake layers and smooth sides.
9. Decorate with alternating pink and white swirls.
10. Top with star-tip border and press sprinkles around the base.
Notes
You can substitute whole milk yogurt for sour cream.
Use cake strips for flat layers.
Warm wet ingredients slightly for smooth mixing.
