Delicate, buttery, and festive spritz cookies perfect for holiday baking.
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup powdered sugar (glaze)
1–2 tablespoons milk
holiday sprinkles
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Cream butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
3. Add egg and extracts and mix.
4. Add flour and mix until combined.
5. Press dough onto ungreased baking sheet.
6. Bake 8-10 minutes.
7. Whisk glaze ingredients.
8. Drizzle over cooled cookies and decorate.
Notes
Chill dough if too soft.
Store up to 2 weeks.
Freeze unglazed cookies 3 months.
