Description
A simple homemade Yakult-style probiotic drink with milk or vegan alternatives.
Ingredients
2 cups milk or soy milk
1 Yakult bottle or probiotic starter
1 tbsp sugar or honey
½ tsp vanilla extract
Zest of ½ lemon or orange
Instructions
1. Warm the milk to 100°F.
2. Add probiotic culture or Yakult.
3. Stir in sugar and flavorings.
4. Ferment 8–12 hours in a jar.
5. Chill for 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Use soy milk for vegan version. Taste after 8 hours for mild tanginess.
